I am walking through the dense forest on a trail clearly marked by a hatchet, one long and two short, on the trees along the path. I pause and notice the exposed golden yellow core and seeping sap surrounded by the rough peeling texture of the tall trunks. I inhale the clean crisp air and smell the distinct aroma of the damp pine forest. When a light breeze touches my exposed skin, I hear a long creek, like an old rocking chair on a hard wood floor. Looking up, the fallen are caught by their stronger neighbor and rubbing against each other, supporting each other.Mosaic Collage / Abstraction
